If you get no ideas from the galleries then please give us either a call, an email, or use the message form to contact, where we will be more than happy to discuss something more appropriate for your celebration The gallery pictures are just a small sample of previously produced cakes and are for illustrative and inspirational purposes only. Not every cake we have made is shown, therefore you are not restricted to just ordering something from the gallery. However, if you like something from one gallery and something from another, then it can always be mixed ‘n’ matched, or dare we say, if you have seen something from another cake website then you can always email the URL where we will be more than happy to take a look. Remember! It’s your cake, it’s your celebration, therefore, it’s your choice!!
How to order Orders are accept via telephone or in person only. A 50% deposit is required at the time of order, and the remaining balance is payable upon collection, where you can pay by chip and pin credit card, or cash. Unfortunately, we no longer accept payment via cheque. For cakes being delivered, the remaining balance is due one week before delivery. An order is only secured once a deposit has been paid and not verbally.
Ordering notice required To avoid disappointment order your cake as early as you can as we always have bookings running into the next twelve months and are usually fully booked 5 or 6 weeks in advance, with the odd space available. We only produce a limited number of cakes and will never exceed this. We never sacrifice quality over quantity. A glass smooth ripple free finish and excellent taste are our most important goals. Cakes required at a short notice unfortunately cannot always be accommodated, however, contact us ASAP as sometimes we may possibly have a vacant space or cancellation in our schedules.
Delivery Diary permitting, we are happy to deliver your cake within the local surrounding area upto 10 miles. (using Google Maps) Orders over £150 the delivery is free, otherwise a charge of £0.50+ vat per mile (£0.60 including vat), is made door to door. Due to their fragile nature, we do not post or courier cakes.
Packaging and Handling All cakes are presented on a 12mm cake board and packed in a standard grade cake box
Pricing Due to the numerous combinations of size, finish, shape, decoration and complexity it is impossible to standardise a price. The majority of the price is made up of the time it takes to create and finish a cake. An estimated price is given during an enquiry, and a fully confirmed price will be provided at the time of order. Variations or changes to the order by the customer will necessitate re-quoting.
Nuts Having a nut allergy sufferer in our family we understand the importance of not having any nut product at home. Therefore we never use or add any nut product to any sponge cakes. Occasionally we use additional ingredients from outside suppliers, and we ensure these do not contain any added nuts or nut products, however, most suppliers make mention that due to manufacturing processes traces of nut may be present. Fruit cakes ALWAYS contain nuts, unless otherwise specified
Variations in the final appearance Each cake displayed has been produced by hand, replicating any cake from a gallery picture will be as closely matched as possible but slight variations may be present
Flavourings All cakes are individually baked to clients requirements using one of the following flavours Vanilla Madeira sponge Chocolate Madeira sponge Lemon Madeira sponge Fruit (three months notice is required for fruit cakes) Tiered cakes can have an individual flavour for each layer We do not produce eggless, dairy free or gluten free cakes, or cakes which contain fresh cream
Fillings For sponge cakes we use one of the following choices of fillings Vanilla buttercream Chocolate buttercream Lemon buttercream Jam or Lemon curd at a customers request. There are also many coverings and fillings available which are too long to be listed here, these can be discussed at the time of an order
Just decoration service Debbie of Cakescrazy has earned an enviably high reputation for producing high quality specialised cakes made to each clients requests, which naturally we would like to maintain. Therefore, not wanting to put our name to anything other than what we have created ourselves we will not decorate shop purchased or other peoples cakes.
