Celebration Cakes or Traditional Cakes

The most common of all cakes requested, this style of cake can suit all ages, themes or celebration types.

Celebration cakes are usually just two dimensional which means a single layered design with some form of decorative finishing on the sides or top.

Lately the double stacked style appears to be the most popular, these can be a mixture of round and square and even a different flavour for each layer.

On large cakes you can also complete the finish with a selection of personalised cupcakes all finished with the same details.

Another trend is to have a decorative topping called an explosion, these are hand constructed using wires with cutout shapes like stars, hearts, discs, even musical notes. So if you have a particular theme and would like an explosive topper to finish off your cake I can make something to blend in with the theme.

Or if the topper doesn’t take your fancy there are many other ways to decorate a cake like a modelled character, symbols or icons cut from sugarpaste, or a mixture of everything. There’s really no stopping you.

For real traditional type cakes I can decorate using sugarflowers, delicate cutout work or extra piping detail.

Hollywood Walk of Fame Cake

You are probably wondering why this cake features so many times.

After displaying my first Hollywood cake creation I have been inundated with enquiries and confirmed orders for this design.

The first few have had the “FILM” theme, and more recently musical themes, but clients can have whatever theme suits their occasion.

The few displayed here are just a small handful of a very popular design. Some have been delivered over 100 miles away.

The star content can all be customised because the gold trim and insignia are hand painted, (with edible paints naturally).
