I have been designing and creating cakes in the Bracknell, Warfield, Winkfield, and
Ascot area since 1997. It all started with my daughters first birthday when I needed
a cake and had little time to organise a personalised cake for the occasion, even
the local supermarket had little to offer so with a some encouragement and guidance
from a friend I set about making my decorative debut.
I thoroughly enjoyed producing that first creation which I received positive comments
from friends and family who started asking me to make cakes for them too, and so
from that occasion it all started.
After completing two years at college I have gained the "City & Guilds" accreditation
for "Sugarpaste design" and "Sugar flowers", I am a member of the "British Sugarcraft
Guild", and I have featured several times for BBC local radio discussing small businesses
and cake craft topics.My biggest thanks goes to a local party shop in Ascot called
"As If By Magic" where after several requests for cakes to accompany their party
organising service recommended and granted me direct contact with their clients.
From those early days and still today my business has been built on nothing but “word
of mouth”. My greatest reassurance is speaking to repeat clients new and old, their
positive comments and the recommendations they have passed onto their family and
friends.
My mission is to ensure that every cake is flawless in finish and equally matched
by its taste. I only produce a limited number of cakes and will never exceed this
limit as I won’t sacrifice quality over quantity. A glass smooth ripple free finish
and excellent taste are my most important goals, but even more important is to ensure
each and every client is completely satisfied and happy to keep coming back time
and time again as without this objective I would have no business and something many
businesses tend to forget.
